Mercedes-Benz of Huntington’s Summer Community Involvement!

Summertime on Long Island is arguably one of the best times of the year! With the weather so warm, and school out for many, a lot of towns around Huntington such as Northport, Greenlawn, Lloyd Harbor, and Cold Spring Harbor, have tons going on for families to enjoy!

Being the premier Mercedes-Benz dealership in Huntington, we are proud to be so involved within the community by sponsoring and attending many of these local events! Our sponsorships this summer have been so fulfilling for us to watch come to life, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the summer unfold !

We kicked off the summer with the amazing Halesite Waterfront Festival on Sunday, May 21st! Taking place in Mill Dam Park, this festival had live music, food trucks, a beer tent, marine equipment, boats, nautical gifts, crafts, and so much more! Not only was this festival loads of fun, but it also promoted Boat Safety Week! It was amazing to have a Mercedes-Benz of Huntington booth set up within all of the talented craft vendors!

Following the fun of the Halesite Waterfront Festival, Mercedes-Benz of Huntington had the great honor of sponsoring the Huntington YMCA Annual Carnival, another well-known fair in Suffolk County! This event took place during Memorial Day Weekend, and we had such a blast seeing all of beautiful Huntington from the top of the ferris wheel!

Upcoming, we are also proudly sponsoring the 14th Annual Huntington Lighthouse Music Festival on September 2nd, 2023! Known for being “the only music festival in the world held on top of a working lighthouse in the middle of the water” (Huntington Bay, in LLoyd harbor), this event closes off the summer in such a unique and memorable way as town residents get to watch various Nassau, and Suffolk County bands play from 11 AM, all the way until sunset, from atop of the lighthouse.

The Huntington Harbor Lighthouse, which was formerly known as Lloyd Harbor Lighthouse, was established in 1857, and first lit in 1912. The light is still operational to this day! This festival directly supports the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, which is dedicated to preserve the relic that is monumental to the town of huntington’s rich and extensive history.

Every summer, Mercedes-Benz of Huntington also likes to sponsor various golf outings all around Long Island, many for awesome causes. So far we have sponsored the Men’s Invitational at Indian Hills Country Club in Fort Salonga, which took place on June 10th, and the Men’s Member Guest at the Huntington Crescent Club on June 16th, and June 17th. 

Throughout the end of the summer we will also be sponsoring the Jim Hogan Memorial Foundation Inaugural Golf Outing at the Huntington Crescent Club on July 24th, the Clark Gillies Foundation Celebrity Golf Invitational at the Huntington Crescent Club on July 31st, and the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk‘s Annual Golf Classic on August 7th at Indian Hills Country Club.

These golf outings support various foundations that are very close to our heart as members of the Long Island Community. We feel very fortunate to be able to contribute to these events in any way that we can! For more information on these organizations, check out the sources down below!
