Introducing IMAX Enhanced In-Car Entertainment with Mercedes-Benz

Here at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington, we are thrilled to share an exciting development that is sure to redefine luxury in-car entertainment systems. Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), IMAX Corporation®, and DTS, Inc., is excited to bring the cinematic magic of IMAX Enhanced® movies directly into select vehicles equipped with the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus. 

Starting later this year, customers of Mercedes-Benz models with an active connect subscription can enjoy Sony’s RIDEVU service. This is an immersive, theater-like experience on the road! The partnership will feature the largest collection of IMAX movies from Sony Pictures’ library, including fan favorites like Uncharted and Spider-Man: No Way Home. 

With RIDEVU, passengers will experience:

  • IMAX’s Expanded Aspect Ratio: for optimized visuals
  • Proprietary Digital Media Remastering: for upgraded picture quality
  • DTS:X Sound Technology: for immersive audio provided in multiple languages 

RIDEVU provides a mobile entertainment hub for when you are either on the go or parked. Content can be shared or viewed individually on up to six screens. This provides an exciting experience for both front and rear passengers. RIDEVU will be available in multiple countries and is excited to integrate this service fully. Users can buy, rent, and stream thousands of movies seamlessly using the vehicle’s multi-media screens.
