Town of Huntington Triathlon Sunday June 23rd, 2019 - 6:50 AM Crab Meadow Beach, Northport, NY 11768 For those that are into running, or those who want to support a great cause, be sure to mark your calendars for the Town of Huntington Triathlon presented by Northwell Health Huntington Hospital. This race includes a 750 meter swim at the beautiful Crab Meadow Beach, a scenic 9.8 mile bike ride through the hills of the Town of Huntington, and finishes with a 3.3 mile run through the charming streets of Northport which includes an uphill on the first half and a downhill on the second. The finish line will be at the spectator friendly Crab Meadow Beach, where friends, family, and viewers of the race will be there to cheer you through the finish line! One hint that your tread is thin is if the tires squeal when you make a turn. You can also measure your tread by doing the "Penny Test". Turn it upside-down and insert it in the treads of your tire. If Lincoln’s head is easily visible, that means the treads are worn, and it’s time for new tires. If Lincoln’s head disappears, your tires are usually just fine. Before you apply the Penny Test, ensure that your tires are properly inflated. You can also drive through our TreadSpec Machine in our Service Drive, where you will get a printed report of your current tread wear and alignment status on your vehicle. Your Service Advisor will be able to answer any of your questions you may have about your report. Loss of Tire Pressure It is important to make sure that your tire pressure is up to the required PSI in all of your tires. It has been found that tire pressure or pounds per square inch (PSI) decreases at an average of 1 PSI per month. It can be nerve-wracking to see a puddle of water or fluid forming underneath your vehicle. However, it is not necessarily always indicative of a problem! You may notice water puddling under your car from time to time, especially during the summer months on Long Island. This is usually due to your vehicle's air conditioning system generating condensation. This is similar to seeing condensation form on your home air conditioning unit, and is usually nothing to worry about. What Is Causing Fluid To Leak Out Of My Car? If you are convinced that your vehicle is leaking something other than water, there are other indications that can determine if your car is in need of a repair. If the fluid is something other than water, the color will show up in the pavement. If it’s blue, green, or yellow, it’s probably coolant, not water. That will result in large amounts of water and white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. While coolant is usually easy to spot due to its color, you can always check the level to make sure. It has plenty of strengths on top of its exquisite beauty. Majority of car enthusiasts agree that is the car of choice in terms of practicality. With tons of customization options, once can easily make a dream car out of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC.
