Mercedes-EQ Reveals Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV!
Mercedes-EQ and Mercedes-Maybach fans rejoice! The first-ever electric Mercedes-Maybach has been revealed! The new addition to the electric lineup is the most luxurious yet. Earlier this week, Mercedes-Benz debuted the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV. Akin to it’s brother, the Mercedes-EQ EQS 580 SUV, this electric SUV comes with all of the bells and whistles you can imagine.The exterior of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 SUV is just as stunning as it’s non-electric counterpart, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV. Mercedes-Benz lovers on Long Island can expect to see the familiar two-tone exterior paint that we have all come to love! The new SUV also has a closed-off pinstripe grille, chrome plated B pillar trim, monoblock inspired wheels, and is adorned with the Mercedes-Maybach emblem. Taking this car for a spin on Jericho Turnpike is definitely going to turn some heads!The main difference between the interior of this electric Mercedes-Maybach and the gas-powered original, is the seating arrangements. The EQS 680 SUV provides seating for four, instead of the normal six. This creates more room for an amazingly luxurious experience in the second-row. Another notable difference is the continuous center console. The center console starts from the front row, and extends all the way to the second row, connecting with the optional champagne fridge. As if you needed another reason to stop at Wine Doc! Not only is the structure itself beautiful, but functional as well. The continuous center console contains a LED Logo projector which displays the Mercedes-Maybach emblem onto the floor of the vehicle in case you needed a reminder that you are in a Mercedes-Maybach through the amazingly plush leather and cushioning! To add to the sustainability of this electric vehicle, the aforementioned leather included in this SUV is the first to be sustainably dyed using coffee bean shells. This process cuts down on about 100 pounds of salt per vehicle that is usually used to help tan leather.The EQS 680 SUV comes standard with Executive Seats equipped with heating including neck and shoulders, ventilation, and massage functions. Opting for the Chauffeur Package allows for the option to recline the right-rear passenger seat while simultaneously moving the front passenger seat forward for maximum comfort. Additionally, the available calf massage feature makes your wildest Brookstone dreams come true. No need to stop by the Walt Whitman Mall when you have a ride like this!As with any vehicle with the Mercedes-Maybach name on it, you know the tech features are going to be good! Second row passengers can take advantage of two 11.6-inch displays mounted the the back of the front seats for both entertainment, as well as vehicle controls. While owning a EQS 680 SUV, you may not be in the driver’s seat, but you can still be the captain!Mercedes-Benz fans that are familiar with the newer models of the S-Class, may be familiar with the Burmester 4D Surround Sound System included in this SUV. This amazing speaker system uses 15 different speakers throughout the vehicle, as well as technology that allows the passengers to “feel” the music through their seats, hence the “4D” name!Fret not, the driver will experience just as much luxury as the lucky passengers! The Hyperscreen included in this SUV comes with a gorgeous Mercedes-Maybach specific dark blue theme. Various controls are accented with rose gold, and the center console cover keeps the pinstripe theme going throughout the vehicle. Although we don’t have too many details on the hardware to be included in this vehicle yet, Mercedes-Benz has stated that this electric EQS 680 SUV will be more powerful that it’s gas-powered brother, the GLS 600 SUV, with an output of 649 horsepower and 701 lb-feet of torque. The electric Mercedes-Maybach will also have a slightly different DYNAMIC SELECT experience. Instead of the usual Comfort mode, this SUV will have Mercedes-Maybach specific options that will truly give the passengers a first-class experience in terms of comfort and road-feel.
