This weekend, we added another reason to be immensely proud of the Mercedes-Benz brand. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth in the Mexican Grand Prix for the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 team, which was enough to see him crowned Formula 1 World Champion for the fifth time in his career! It's a great accomplishment, to say the least, and we could not be more proud of Lewis, as well as the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 team. Here is a run-down of how the race went.- Full grandstands, ecstatic fans and a dry track: the Autodromo Hernandez Rodriguez showed itself in the best possible light on Sunday. - Lewis and Valtteri started the Mexican Grand Prix from third and fifth place respectively. - Lewis immediately gained one position and moved up to second. Meanwhile, Valtteri successfully defended fifth. - On Lap 11, Lewis and Valtteri made a double stop and switched from UltraSoft to SuperSoft tyres. - Lewis came in for his second stop on Lap 47, followed one lap later by Valtteri. Both had UltraSofts fitted for their second stint. - After 62 laps, the team took advantage of a Virtual Safety Car to bring Valtteri in for a third stop, enabling him to switch to HyperSofts. - Lewis finished the race in P4, one place ahead of Valtteri. - This was enough for Lewis to wrap up the Driver’s World Championship. It is the second year in a row that he has done so in Mexico.A great win for both Lewis, as well as Mercedes-Benz. Here is what Lewis had to say after the race. "Honestly, it's very hard to realise it at the moment. It's something I dreamed of, but I never in a million years thought I'd be standing here today a five-time World Champion," said Lewis. "I never knew that was going to happen and I am just so grateful to everyone who has helped me be here. I want to say a big thank you to all the fans here for making the Mexican Grand Prix as special as it is."Yet another reason why Mercedes-Benz stands behind it's motto, "The Best or Nothing." Congratulations to both Lewis Hamilton as well as the Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Racing Team on their amazing accomplishment!

The people who know him love him, the people who don't know him want to. So, we're here to introduce you to Stephen McCloskey, also known as BIG STEVE. You'll laugh until you cry, all the while learning about the best features Mercedes-Benz has to offer. He's the most enthusiastic guy we know, with the biggest heart. Here's a little interview we did with BIG STEVE: Q: How long have you been in the automotive business? A: 35 years! And I've been with the Mercedes-Benz brand for the last 12 of them. Q: How long have you been with Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: I've been part of the Mercedes-Benz of Huntington team for over 3 years now. These years have been my favorite years in the automotive business so far. Q: What's your favorite thing about working at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: The fact that it's a family-run business. The Buzzetta's care deeply about their employees, and we as employees care deeply about our customers.  It creates a sense of togetherness, of family.  We treat all our customers like family, across all departments - sales, service, and parts. Q: What's your favorite memory so far at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: Our first company BBQ. I've never experienced something like this during all my time in the automotive business. Management treats us extremely well & always wants to reward us with events like these. Oh, and the turkeys. The Buzzetta's give out turkeys to each & every one of their employees at Thanksgiving & it's something we all look forward to here. Their generosity is unmatchable. And of course, becoming BIG STEVE & creating videos is one of my favorite memories as well. I guess I couldn't pick just one favorite thing! Q: Why do you love selling Mercedes-Benz vehicles, over any other car brand? A: Because with Mercedes-Benz, it's not the car we're selling, it's everything that comes with it. The safety. The comfort. The peace-of-mind. It's not about the vehicle you drive, it's about the people who are in the vehicle with you - your friends, your family - you want them to be safe. I can honestly say, Mercedes-Benz vehicles are the safest vehicle in the world - hands-down. I look every single customer of mine in the eye, and tell them that. There's absolutely nothing else like it, and I love selling a vehicle I can truly stand behind. Q: What would you say is your best trait? A: I'm extremely personable. I always listen to my customers wants & needs to get them into the best vehicle possible for them. Q: What do you do in your spare time? A: I spend time with my boys, JR & Jake. JR is a senior at Chaminade High School, and an amazing baseball catcher. I can't wait to see what his future has in store for him. Jake is going into High School next year, and I'm extremely excited for him. He's animated, just like his father. I'm also big into golfing. I have a bunch of friends I golf with when I have the time. I even golf with Mr.Buzzetta when he invites me out on his golf outings. Those are my favorite. A check engine light can bring a lot of worry and stress to motorists when they come across one in their vehicle. However, most of the time there is no need to worry! We asked our Shop Foreman and Assistant Service Manager Steve Young some frequently asked questions about check engine lights, to bring some ease to anyone who may be experiencing a check engine light in their Mercedes-Benz. Here is what Steve had to say! Q: Is my vehicle safe to drive? Steve: Yes, your vehicle is safe to drive. However, if you start to experience any other symptoms such as a rough running engine or poor acceleration, you should bring your vehicle in for service as soon as possible. Q: What exactly does a check engine light mean? Steve: So the check engine light often gets misconstrued as an issue with the mechanics of the engine. However, this is not the case. A check engine light typically is due to an emissions control device (a sensor) not functioning correctly. Q: How long should I drive before getting the vehicle checked? Steve: Ideally, you would want to get the vehicle checked as soon as conveniently possible for you. However, if you cannot get it checked till later, or if you cannot get an appointment immediately, it is okay to wait until an appointment is available as long as there are no emergency symptoms such as a rough running engine as mentioned before. Q: Should I get my vehicle towed if a check engine light comes on? Steve: As long as your vehicle is not showing any other symptoms, then no it is not necessary to have your vehicle towed in. Q: Will my vehicle not start the next time I go to start it with a check engine light? Steve: Your vehicle should start right up the next time you go to start it, despite a check engine light. We hope this helps bring some relief to anyone who may be experiencing a check engine light in their Mercedes-Benz. Thanksgiving isn't all about turkeys, stuffing, football, and red wine. The name of the holiday is what it's really about. Giving thanks. (Even though all the food definitely adds a nice touch.) But that's the point. We should be thankful that we are able to put all that food on our table, that we have friends and family to share that table with us, and that we have a warm home to sleep in thanksgiving night. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily lives and hectic schedules that we forget to stop and take a moment to be truly thankful. And there's so much to be thankful for. Those jobs that we rush to every morning. The fact that we wake up in the morning. That special person we wake up next to in the morning. And so, so much more. Our dealership allows us to stop and take that moment to be thankful. Every year, the Buzzetta's take the time out of their busy schedules to stop and give each and every employee a turkey for Thanksgiving. (And these aren't little turkeys either - they're HUGE!) It's time like these that make us realize our job isn't just a job, it's more of a family.
