If you follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, you're sure to have seen his videos. You can't miss them, even if you try. If you haven't seen them, make sure to keep an eye out. You'll laugh until you cry, all the while learning about the best features Mercedes-Benz has to offer. He's the most enthusiastic guy we know, with the biggest heart. Here's a little interview we did with BIG STEVE: Q: How long have you been in the automotive business? A: 35 years! And I've been with the Mercedes-Benz brand for the last 12 of them. Q: How long have you been with Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: I've been part of the Mercedes-Benz of Huntington team for over 3 years now. These years have been my favorite years in the automotive business so far. Q: What's your favorite thing about working at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: The fact that it's a family-run business. The Buzzetta's care deeply about their employees, and we as employees care deeply about our customers.  It creates a sense of togetherness, of family.  We treat all our customers like family, across all departments - sales, service, and parts. Q: What's your favorite memory so far at Mercedes-Benz of Huntington? A: Our first company BBQ. I've never experienced something like this during all my time in the automotive business. Management treats us extremely well & always wants to reward us with events like these. Oh, and the turkeys. The Buzzetta's give out turkeys to each & every one of their employees at Thanksgiving & it's something we all look forward to here. Their generosity is unmatchable. And of course, becoming BIG STEVE & creating videos is one of my favorite memories as well. I guess I couldn't pick just one favorite thing! Q: Why do you love selling Mercedes-Benz vehicles, over any other car brand? A: Because with Mercedes-Benz, it's not the car we're selling, it's everything that comes with it. The safety. The comfort. The peace-of-mind. It's not about the vehicle you drive, it's about the people who are in the vehicle with you - your friends, your family - you want them to be safe. I can honestly say, Mercedes-Benz vehicles are the safest vehicle in the world - hands-down. I look every single customer of mine in the eye, and tell them that. There's absolutely nothing else like it, and I love selling a vehicle I can truly stand behind. Q: What would you say is your best trait? A: I'm extremely personable. I always listen to my customers wants & needs to get them into the best vehicle possible for them. Q: What do you do in your spare time? A: I spend time with my boys, JR & Jake. JR is a senior at Chaminade High School, and an amazing baseball catcher. I can't wait to see what his future has in store for him. Jake is going into High School next year, and I'm extremely excited for him. He's animated, just like his father. I'm also big into golfing. I have a bunch of friends I golf with when I have the time. I even golf with Mr.Buzzetta when he invites me out on his golf outings. Those are my favorite. The famous and well-established Mercedes-Benz G-Class is about to get a makeover! For the model year 2019, the G-Class exterior as well as interior is redesigned, however, it still encompasses the standards and classic look of the G-Wagon we have all come to know and love.The new G-Class is 2.1 inches longer and 4.8 inches wider, yet 375 lbs lighter. By using a mix of ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum, it retains the classic look and impressive performance, with the benefit of added interior space. We definitely think that the new engineering behind the new G-Class certainly does it justice.Once inside, you´re welcomed by supple leather seats with luxury head restraints, optional massage functions and integrated air chambers that fill or empty for better support based on the driving dynamics.There's obviously no sacrificing in power under the hood! With a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, the all-new G-Class produces 416 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 lb-ft.* But the true improvements lie in the re-imagined powertrain that allows for greater off-road capabilities. An independent front suspension with a double-wishbone front axle gives the vehicle more rigidity and maximum ground clearance, while three 100% differential locks enhance the agility and performance on any surface.The new G-Class also features five available driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Eco, Individual and the all-new G-Mode. In G-Mode, the vehicle automatically adapts the damping of the chassis, the steering and the acceleration, avoiding unnecessary gear shifts and providing inch-perfect maneuvering, even in the steepest, most treacherous terrain.  As you can probably tell by the specifications released by Mercedes-Benz, the new G-Class is going to be even more exciting and adventurous than it already was. We cannot wait to have them on display in our showroom!

It has just been announced that Mercedes-Benz will be redesigning the GLE SUV for the model year 2020, and from what we have seen so far we could not be more excited. From what it looks like, the GLE just got even more better than it already is. Here is what we know so far. Optional Third Row The 2020 GLE is expected to come with an optional third row of seating, therefore adding another option of Mercedes-Benz SUVs that offer a third row. Before this, the only SUV that had this offering was the Mercedes-Benz GLS. This added optional feature will be great for those who do not need as large of an SUV as the GLS, but still wish to have an extra row of seating. Refined Driver Assistance Systems The new GLE is said to be coming with a plethora of new driver assistance technology, that could only be expected from a newly redesigned Mercedes-Benz. Judging from the extremely modern and updated interior, we are positive the technology offered in the new GLE will be outstanding. Free-Driving Mode Mercedes-Benz will also be adding a new "Free-Driving Mode" to the Mercedes-Benz GLE, which is a completely new off-road function in the GLE. Basically, if the GLE becomes bogged down in sand or mud, the suspension level is quickly and automatically raised and lowered several times. This will in turn change the ground pressure of the tires, improve the traction, and allow the SUV to rock itself free. Talk about getting yourself out of a messy situation!Although this news was just announced, and more information about the 2020 GLE is still to come, we cannot be more excited. The GLE is an amazing SUV from Mercedes-Benz, and we expect this redesigned model to be even better! Until then, compare the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE to the 2019 GLC to see how it compares.

Mercedes-Benz is bringing some new models to their vehicle lineup this coming year, and we could not be more excited. One of the most exciting vehicles however, has to be the new 2019 AMG GT 4-Door-Coupe! Based off of the profound and exciting characteristics of the AMG GT, this vehicle expands the excitement in a four-door-coupe variant!A standard characteristic of any Mercedes-AMG vehicle is the visual appeal, as well as the exquisite performance of an AMG engine. With the AMG GT 4-door-coupe, you’ll notice the low hood, muscular shape, and flowing overall persona of the exterior. The design of the AMG GT 4-door-coupe had much thought put into it, with every design cue being a part of highly crafter aerodynamics.Inside the vehicle, you’ll only expect the best. Supreme comfort goes hand-in-hand with luxury, as well as being a modern and exhilarating cabin. On the dashboard, you will see intuitive touch controls as well as a widescreen cockpit which creates a space where the driver is in total control.Last, but certainly not least, you will not be disappointed with what is underneath the hood. The AMG 4-door-coupe has three different engine options that will be available; two handcrafted AMG V8 engines for the GT 63 S and GT 63, and an AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline-6 biturbo with EQ Boost for the GT 53. The most powerful option which is available on the GT 63S delivers 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 664 lb-ft. The vehicle is estimated to go from 0-60 in 3.1 seconds! You would only expect this exhilaration from a Mercedes-AMG vehicle.The AMG GT 4-door-coupe is slated to begin arriving at dealerships toward the end of 2018, and we can hardly wait! Have you ever wondered what the Mercedes-Benz logo means? The famous three-pointed star has a lot of history and meaning behind it, besides being the trademark for the best vehicles in the world. The logo of Mercedes-Benz is recognizable everywhere, and the identity of the Mercedes-Benz brand has stood strong for a very long time. Why The Name Mercedes-Benz? Mercedes-Benz originally began as separate automobile manufacturers in Germany, Benz & Cie founded by Karl Benz in 1883, and Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft founded by Gottlieb Daimler in 1890. Once Daimler passed in 1900, the company was taken over by Wilhelm Maybach, Daimler’s chief engineer. Maybach then brought Emil Jellinek into the company as a partner.   Benz, Daimler, Maybach, and Jellinek are all four people that shaped Mercedes-Benz into what it is today. From the Mercedes-Maybach being named after Wilhelm Maybach, to Karl Benz and his wife Bertha creating the first automobile, Mercedes-Benz carries a long automotive history with its brand. The name Mercedes-Benz comes from Jellinek’s daughter, Mercedes. Mercedes provided Daimler with the company tradename, and it was first used in 1902. The company used a badge featuring a halo surrounding the word Mercedes, beginning the Mercedes-Benz name we all know and love. Soon after, Daimler and their Mercedes line of vehicles merged with Carl Benz’s company Benz & Cie, creating Daimler-Benz AG, which later became Mercedes-Benz as we know it today. The History of the Mercedes-Benz Star Now we know that the name Mercedes-Benz came from Emil Jellinek’s daughter Mercedes, and the merging of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie to form Daimler-Benz. But how did the Mercedes-Benz logo come about? It all goes back to a postcard sent by Daimler to his wife in 1872. Daimler used a three-pointed star to show his wife the location of the home he was at in Germany, and wrote to her about the star rising over the industrial empire he was seeking to build one day.   Flash forwarding to 1909, Daimler’s sons Paul and Adolf recalled the postcard that their father had sent their mother, and adopted the three-pointed star as the logo for Mercedes vehicles. Daimler is said to have stated that the three pointed star represents the company’s ambition to lead performance industries in the land, sky, and sea, forming the three pointed star. Today, the logo represents a rich history of racing, ambition, as well as the merging of influential industry innovations. Today the Mercedes-Benz badge and logo is instantly recognizable across the world, and is held in very high regard as an innovative automotive brand.

Have you ever wondered how Mercedes-Benz names their vehicles, such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and more? There are also many models that have had their names changed over the years, such as the Mercedes-Benz ML becoming the Mercedes-Benz GLE, or the Mercedes-Benz GL becoming the Mercedes-Benz GLS. For those that are new to the Mercedes-Benz brand, or for those that are used to the older model names, it can be a little confusing. However, Mercedes-Benz names their vehicles for a reason, and try to make it as easy as possible for people to distinguish models. Here is a run-down of how Mercedes-Benz names their vehicles. Mercedes-Benz Core Models Mercedes-Benz has five core models that are always a part of the naming nomenclature. These five core models are A, B, C, E, and S. Mercedes-Benz uses these core models internationally, therefore some letters do not apply to the United States market. Many of these core models apply to the United States market, such as C being the C-Class sedan, C-Class Coupe, and C-Class Cabriolet. The extra letters that are added on to core model letters on many models, such as the CLA and GLC also have meanings. Mercedes-Benz models such as the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Mercedes-Benz CLA have the letters CL added on. The CL means that the vehicle is a 4-door coupe, and therefore only applies to the four-door coupes of the Mercedes-Benz lineup.    Also, models such as the Mercedes-Benz SL and Mercedes-Benz SLC have the letters SL in their naming, to distinguish them as a Roadster vehicle. These roadster vehicles are often two-seater vehicles that feature a hardtop convertible roof. The previous Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster is now renamed the Mercedes-Benz SLC.    Last but not least, our many models that feature the letters GL. These vehicles include the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. The GL prefix is meant to be a nod to the famous signature Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV, which is the flagship SUV of the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup. Therefore, any Mercedes-Benz vehicle with the letters GL will be considered an SUV. Many of the Mercedes-Benz SUVs that many people know and love have been affected by the new naming standards of Mercedes-Benz and have been renamed. These models include the Mercedes-Benz ML, Mercedes-Benz GL, and Mercedes-Benz GLK. A check engine light can bring a lot of worry and stress to motorists when they come across one in their vehicle. However, most of the time there is no need to worry! We asked our Shop Foreman and Assistant Service Manager Steve Young some frequently asked questions about check engine lights, to bring some ease to anyone who may be experiencing a check engine light in their Mercedes-Benz. Here is what Steve had to say! Q: Is my vehicle safe to drive? Steve: Yes, your vehicle is safe to drive. However, if you start to experience any other symptoms such as a rough running engine or poor acceleration, you should bring your vehicle in for service as soon as possible. Q: What exactly does a check engine light mean? Steve: So the check engine light often gets misconstrued as an issue with the mechanics of the engine. However, this is not the case. A check engine light typically is due to an emissions control device (a sensor) not functioning correctly. Q: How long should I drive before getting the vehicle checked? Steve: Ideally, you would want to get the vehicle checked as soon as conveniently possible for you. However, if you cannot get it checked till later, or if you cannot get an appointment immediately, it is okay to wait until an appointment is available as long as there are no emergency symptoms such as a rough running engine as mentioned before. Q: Should I get my vehicle towed if a check engine light comes on? Steve: As long as your vehicle is not showing any other symptoms, then no it is not necessary to have your vehicle towed in. Q: Will my vehicle not start the next time I go to start it with a check engine light? Steve: Your vehicle should start right up the next time you go to start it, despite a check engine light. The winter season drastically changes our environment around us. It gets to very frigid temperatures, difficult weather conditions, and not to mention it gets darker out a lot earlier! However, our lives still continue with the winter season and the drawbacks that may come with it, especially in New York. The variety of options and features that are available in many Mercedes-Benz models can make driving in the winter a lot more bearable, and even enjoyable! Therefore, here are just a few of some great available features and options that can be a great asset for getting through the winter season. 4MATIC® All-Wheel Drive The 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system can be seen as one of the best features to have during the winter months. From a blustery winter storm to a wet rainstorm, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive can handle it all, giving you extra grip on the road ahead of you. 4MATIC® features a number of advanced, and quick-thinking innovations to empower each wheel individually as conditions change, making it easier and safer for you as the driver, to continue on when conditions get tougher. The 4MATIC® system is available on most Mercedes-Benz models, therefore you have a variety of vehicles with 4MATIC® to choose from on your next car purchase! Heated Seats Picture this. You get in your Mercedes-Benz in the early morning, coffee in hand, ready to start your day. You sit down in the driver’s seat and it’s chilly from sitting the whole night! Heated seats are what will save the day from sitting in a cold seat. With three levels of warming available, the heated seats feature will take the chill out of any morning. The best part of the heated seats in a Mercedes-Benz is that once the seats are heated, it will automatically step down after several minutes to the lowest setting, keeping you cozy and comfortable on your drive. Heated Steering Wheel The heated steering wheel, like heated seats, is another “handy” feature to keep your hands warm during chilly winter mornings. Instead of trying to maneuver wearing gloves or mittens while driving, you can simply just push the heated steering wheel button to keep your hands nice and toasty while you grip the wheel. Similar to the heated seats, after a few minutes, the heating level is automatically reduced to maintain lasting comfort. Magic Vision Control Magic Vision Control changes the way you use your windshield washers, and is an efficient feature to have to clean your windshield during the winter. In the winter season, tons of road debris such as road salt, snow, slush, and much more can end up on your windshield. With MAGIC VISION CONTROL, you can wash away this debris smoothly and efficiently, without splashes of washer fluid getting in the way of your vision. Night View Assist PLUS During the winter, it gets darker out a lot earlier. Also, it can often seem that it’s a lot darker than usual during the winter. With this added darkness, it can be harder to see hazards on the road. However, Mercedes-Benz created a new feature with nighttime driving in mind, called Night View Assist PLUS. Available on select models, Night View Assist PLUS can help you navigate the dark road ahead of you, and point out any obstacles that you may come across. Night View Assist PLUS projects invisible infrared beams and reads them with a special camera. Combined with thermal imaging, the system can display a clearer, supplemental real-time view of the road ahead in the digital instrument cluster. Its advanced technology can also help identify and point out pedestrians and animals along a dark roadway, and help alert pedestrians with a flash of the LED headlamps in their direction! Crosswind Assist Crosswind Assist is another safety technology from Mercedes-Benz, that is standard on a lot of the larger models. During the winter, and especially during snowstorms, it can get very windy! Crosswind Assist helps your vehicle’s stability stay strong during strong side winds at highway speeds. The system helps keep the vehicle on the right track through braking of the wheels on one side of the vehicle. Dual Zone and 3-Zone Climate Control Your passengers you have along for the ride should be comfortable too! Many Mercedes-Benz models offer multi-zone climate controls, with Dual Zone Climate Control being standard on many models. 3-Zone Climate Control is also available, so that passengers in the rear of the vehicle can adjust the climate control to their preferred settings. It’s a great feature to have during the winter to keep everyone satisfied with the temperature! Electronic Stability Program (ESP) An important safety feature for the winter would be the Electronic Stability Program, or also known as ESP. ESP is a standard feature that was first introduced by Mercedes-Benz. The system continually monitors your driving inputs and the vehicle's motion to help keep it going in your intended direction, especially in corners and during evasive maneuvers. This is especially helpful in not so ideal winter conditions! If it detects wheel spin, severe understeer (plowing), or oversteer (fishtailing), ESP can brake individual wheels and reduce engine power to help bring the vehicle under control. The ESP program, like many of the other safety programs that are built into Mercedes-Benz models work to keep you and your occupants safe in all the roads that you travel. Brake Assist (BAS) Brake Assist, which is also known as BAS, senses emergency braking via the speed at which the driver presses the brake pedal, and immediately applies maximum available power boost. Brake Assist decreases your stopping distance by applying emergency power to the brakes, that may not have been applied enough when braking. This is a standard safety feature across all models, and is a great feature to have in the winter when you may need to brake suddenly due to hazards on the road. Active Brake Assist Active Brake Assist takes Brake Assist a step further. Active Brake Assist uses radar technology to sense obstacles or hazards in the way that you may not realize. The system alerts you hazards you are approaching, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, Active Brake Assist can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to brake in time, the system can also initiate braking automatically from speeds up to 65 mph. Paired with the Brake Assist System (BAS), your Mercedes-Benz and the systems that come with it will work hard to make sure you come to a safe stop when coming across winter road hazards.As shown, Mercedes-Benz vehicles have a ton of features to make driving in the winter season enjoyable and safe.
