2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC vs. 2023 Jaguar I-Pace

The Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Jaguar I-Pace are the most popular EVs. Both cars are luxurious, sporty, and have much room for passengers. But which one is better? Let’s take a closer look at each model to find out!

Design & Style

  • Exterior Design

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a stylish SUV with a sleek design. It’s built for performance and comfort, so you can expect it to be fast but also smooth and quiet. The exterior of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE has been redesigned with new headlights that are more modern and aggressive than previous models. The hood also has an aerodynamic shape that helps reduce drag when driving at high speeds.

The Jaguar I-Pace features bold lines along its sides, creating a muscular appearance on this electric vehicle (EV). Its grille is made up of horizontal slats set behind angular headlights, giving off an aggressive look while still maintaining some elegance thanks to its low nose line and swept-back windshields.

  • Interior Design

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a stylish interior that will make you feel like royalty. Its minimalist design with clean lines and high-quality materials makes it look very modern. The dashboard is made of wood and leather, giving the vehicle an elegant look that matches its price tag. The seats are comfortable and spacious enough for four people to sit comfortably inside the cabin without feeling cramped or squished together at all times, like some other vehicles do when there are more than two passengers in them!

The Jaguar I-Pace also comes with an impressive interior design! It features materials such as wood trimming throughout various parts of your vehicle, including trimming around door frames as well as headrests (if applicable) so they match perfectly together, creating one cohesive unit instead of having mismatched pieces thrown together randomly, which would make them look cheap rather than classy like they should be portrayed instead!

Technology & Safety

Both the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC and Jaguar I-Pace are equipped with multiple driver assistance systems. Both cars use cameras, radar, and laser sensors to help you stay out of harm’s way.

The GLC comes standard with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist. The I-Pace has a similar feature set that includes automatic emergency braking as well as blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Mercedes does offer some additional safety features, such as an evasive steering assist which helps you avoid hitting other cars if you’re in danger of doing so (this feature is available only on the AMG® models).

Performance

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via an electric motor. The Jaguar I-Pace offers two motors: one at each axle; they produce 400 hp and 516 lb.-ft., respectively. These drive the axles through an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and can be controlled manually if desired by the driver (it’s not necessary).

The Bottom Line

The GLE is a more luxurious and spacious car. It has more room for passengers, cargo, and extra features such as a power tailgate and heated seats. The interior is also much nicer, with better quality materials than the I-Pace.
