It has four driving moods that vary in shift points, throttle response, and steering.
As a plug-in hybrid, the Volt is powered by both twin electric motors and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. It has an admirable performance with a modest 149-hp and 294-lb-ft of torque. It has generally good acceleration and steering but the suspension is not optimized for pushing the Volt too hard.
The Bottom Line
The 2019 Chevrolet Volt is a well-executed hybrid compared to most eco-friendly vehicles. It delivers a confidence-inspiring performance but it is not enough if you are after a real luxurious drive.
