What Happens If You Don’t Change Your Oil?
Oil changes are essential to keeping your Mercedes-Benz, and any other vehicle for that matter running smoothly and efficiently. If you choose to not change your oil or skip oil changes, it could have some costly effects to your vehicle. When you don’t change the oil in your vehicle, nothing is absorbing the heat from the engine, pistons, and other components for the engine block. Your engine can start to have some serious issues without it to keep things working smoothly. Having your *oil changed regularly at our Mercedes-Benz Service Center in Huntington, NY means keeping your car running properly on the Dix Hills streets longer.
What Does The Oil Do?
The main purpose of engine oil is to lubricate the engine. However, it also has many other purposes. Engine oil absorbs the heat from the engine components and carries it away to avoid overheating. If you don’t have fresh oil in your engine due to skipping oil changes, the pistons can weld themselves to the cylinders as the heat has nothing to absorb it. If you don’t change out the oil, the dirt and debris it picks up while moving through the engine can be too dirty to work effectively, which can also lead to the engine overheating. All of these issues can be easily avoided by utilizing our Express Service at our Mercedes-Benz Service Center, where you can get your oil changed in an hour or less!

I’m glad you mentioned it’s important to change your vehicle’s engine oil to keep it well lubricated. A few months ago, my little sister finally learned to drive, and the family got together and helped her buy a car. She’s starting to drive it, but she’s not sure about all the cares the car needs. That’s why I think this article will help her. I appreciate your information about how if you don’t change your car’s oil, it could lead to your engine overheating.
