While a faulty starter motor may not pose an immediate danger to you and your passengers, it can lead to inconvenient breakdowns and exorbitant repair fees when not attended to as soon as possible. • The dashboard is lighting up, but the engine won’t start: If your battery is distributing consistent power, but the engine refuses to start, it’s an early indication of a faulty starter motor.
