Possible Adjustments With the Toggle
There are four directions in which your steering wheel can move, courtesy of this toggle:
- By pushing the toggle up, you will move the steering wheel up.
- Push the toggle down, the steering wheel adjusts down.
- Push the toggle forward to adjust the steering wheel in.
- Pull the toggle backward to move the steering wheel out.

Troubleshooting “Stuck” Steering Adjustment
- All the way out, extend the steering wheel.
- At the top, firmly tap the steering wheel several times. As an alternative, (rather than tapping the top of the steering wheel), as you press the adjustment switch for the steering wheel in the same direction, push up from the bottom with your knees.
In many cases, those having a problem with a Mercedes steering wheel that is stuck will find that this simple procedure “un-freezes” it.
