Things To Do Around Long Island This Weekend

It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend this weekend on Long Island, and there is a ton going on around Northport, Huntington, and beyond! If you are looking for fun events on Long Island to do this weekend with family and friends, there is plenty of things to do this weekend that are only a short drive from Huntington Staion and Dix Hills.

Cow Harbor Day

Right in the backyards of Commack and Greenlawn residents, this event is only a short drive and tons of fun. Considered to be Northport's biggest weekend of the year, Cow Harbor Day kicks off with a 10K run around Northport Village at 8:30 AM on Saturday September 21st. Then head to the village park for a concert and lighted boat display at 8:00 pm. The Cow Harbor Day parade starts at noon on Sunday September 22nd followed by sidewalk sales, rides, waterfront activities, games and arts, and crafts vendors. This is truly an event in our community that you do not want to miss!

The Long Island Fair

If you are looking for fun for the whole family, the Long Island Fair at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration is your go-to this weekend. From 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, there will be plenty entertainment, band concerts, exotic petting zoo, and children’s games and races. Admission is $15, $13 for ages 5-12.

2019 SOUTHAMPTONFEST

What better place to take a ride to in your new or Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz than the Hamptons! Especially on a beautiful weekend like this upcoming weekend. If you do choose to head out to the East End of Long Island, be sure to check out the 2019 Southampton Fest, happening from Friday, September 20 – Sunday, September 22. Enjoy plenty of fun during this festival, such as a cocktail party, concerts, food vendors, caricatures, face-painting, an annual Chowder eating contest, and more! If you decide to bring the kids, there will be plenty of entertainment for them as well, with a KIDS ZONE featuring family friendly entertainment!

Smithtown Historical Society's 2019 Heritage Fall Festival

If you're looking for something to do near Commack and Fort Salonga, head on over to the Smithtown Historical Society's Heritage Fall Festival, happening from 10 AM - 5 PM on Sunday September 22nd! There will be Live music, traditional dancing, kids crafts, pumpkin painting, hay rides, petting zoo and pony rides, food trucks and more! Best of all, admission is only $5, with kids being FREE! Fun for the whole family right near East Northport? Sign us up!

DogFest Long Island 2019

Those that live in Dix Hills and Elwood know that the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park are a great resource for those that love to shop till they drop. Whether you have a dog, or you simply are a lover of dogs, be sure to head to the DogFest happening at the Tanger Outlets on Saturday September 21st! Everyone is invited to join us for a day of fun, festivities, inspiring speakers, dog demonstrations, music, food and more! Registration is free. Fundraising is encouraged. All funds raised benefit Canine Companions for Independence and their mission of matching assistance dogs with children, adults and veterans with disabilities, free of charge. Dogs and a good cause? We can't think of any reasons why someone would want to miss this great event!
