If you've been waiting with bated breath like we have for the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, we have some news that will hopefully tide you over until the new luxury sports sedan drops later this fall. Set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show this coming March, the newest iteration of Mercedes-Benz exquisite sedan is set to return to the streets refreshed and ready to go with a variety of updates inside and out.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class boasts an upgraded 2.0L four-cylinder turbo engine that generates 273 lb-ft of torque and 255 horsepower, outpacing the previous iteration by 14 horsepower. This new engine also comes paired with a 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission. All-in-all, you're looking at a more powerful, more efficient engine, to take you where you need to go.

Updated Aesthetic

A performance upgrade isn't the only change to the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, as the 2019 returns with an upgraded exterior, complete with sporty, redesigned front and rear bumbers, and a chrome-plated trim. In addition to the redesigned bumpers, enthusiasts will also have the option to upgrade to the optional AMG-line vehicle package, which offers a sport-inspired rear diffuser and a diamond radiator grill, two features that are sure to turn heads around town. Rounding out the exterior refresh, are standard LED head and tail-lights, new 17-inch twin 5-spoke wheels, and a handful of new paint colors to choose from.

Optional Features:

  • Optional AMG-line exterior package
  • Optional dynamic LED headlamps with ULTRA WIDE range highbeams

The cabin remains as elegant as ever, with features Mercedes-Benz drivers have become accustomed to, including a multifunctional leather steering wheel with touch control buttons, KEYLESS START functionality, and driver customization amenities, such as a 64-color ambient lighting system.

But the 2019 model year is really going to up the ante, as the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will introduce a new generation multimedia COMAND system and a new FrontBass® 5-speaker Audio System, as well as an optional 10.25-inch center display and 12.3-inch instrument display.

Combine these new features with a bevy of new upholestry and trim options, and it becomes clear that the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is going to be a true drivers car.

Optional Features:

  • 10.25-inch center display
  • 12.3-inch instrument display

For 2019, Mercedes-Benz decided to take the C-Class to the next level safety-wise, incorporating technologically-advanced safety features found in it's business level E-Class sedans.

What exactly are these new features?

Intelligent Drive Active Safety:

  • Upgraded and improved radar and camera systems
  • Active Lane Change Assist
  • Active Brake Assist
  • Active Steering Assist
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • And more

For the first time, the C-Class will be able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations.

While these features are optional, we have a feeling most will opt for them, given their benefits.

With regards to mobile connectivity and entertainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also expected to be standard.
