Nitrogen FACTS. Nitrogen is a safe, dry, non-flammable, noncombustible, non-corrosive gas. The air we breathe contains approximately 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. With properly inflated nitrogen-filled tires, you can enjoy a better, safer and less expensive driving experience while saving fuel and optimizing overall vehicle performance.

Nitrogen increases SAFETY. Under-inflated tires can be a major factor in blowouts. Nitrogen provides more reliable air pressure for reduced blowout potential.

Nitrogen increases vehicle PERFORMANCE. Properly filled and maintained tires can significantly increase a vehicle's performance and may help:

• Improve steering
• Reduce chance of blowouts
• Improve Handling
• Improve braking

Tire pressure RETENTION. Tires lose air pressure naturally through the process of permeation. The warmer the weather, the more air pressure tires will lose. Nitrogen molecules are larger and more substantial than oxygen molecules. Because of the larger molecular size, nitrogen migrates through a tire approximately 3 to 4 times slower than oxygen. A tire filled with ordinary compressed air may lose 1 to 3 pounds of air pressure in less than a month. With nitrogen, it can take 3 months or longer.
